UC Signs Letter of Intent with Universiti Putra Malaysia for Future Educational Collaboration

A delegation led by the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Professor Datuk Dr. Mohammed Fauzi Hj. Ramlan, held several meetings with UC top management 15-17 August 2013.

One reason for their visit was for some members to do a pilot survey of the ‘Role of Media and Demography Background against Decision-Making Skills amongst Student Leaders’ with UC students, as part of a broader study of selected ASEAN countries.

The other reason was to explore areas for future collaboration between UC and UPM, in particular.

Following upon extensive discussions, a Letter of Intent was signed by UPM’s Vice-Chancellor and UC’s President as the necessary preliminary to the preparation of a more detailed Memorandum of Understanding on more specific research fields of mutual interest; on the exchange of students, faculty and support staff; and on collaboration in other areas where the two universities’ strengths complement each other.

UC very much appreciates the visit of the Vice-Chancellor and his delegation and believes it bodes well for the future working together of the two universities.
